It's our 16th wedding anniversary and how else to celebrate, let's go racing... I have heard that team sponsorship's make great gifts!
Ordered a racing jacket for Jaz, we won't have it on time for this weeks race but should be here for next week ($98).
Not sure what is going on, it's Friday and everything is loaded an hour ahead of schedule! Just checked Greenwood's temp as it is a little warm today, 99 degrees! Perhaps I will stay inside and enjoy our air conditioning till we have to leave.
We left the house and the trip to the track wasn't bad at all, we didn't even have the air on! We had a nice breeze at the track and the announced our Anniversary before the race at the drivers meeting.
6 Karts showed up for racing and Jaz took it easy on the hot laps and said the kart was running fine. The first heat race she got 3rd place. We had quit a few people wish us happy anniversary, that was cool. The second heat race Jaz went out and won! Pint sized racer girl was getting her mojo back! She started on the outside front row for the feature it was a good clean race but she couldn't catch the number #20 or the #3 car and settled for third. After we got the kart loaded back up she wanted to go over and congratulate the winners #20 (Ryan) and #3 (Trevin) - she ended up hanging out with them till we left. That's cool, they race and play together.
