I call our pal, Jerry, on Monday and he lets me know that I can bring the Kart by on Thursday and he'll scale it and add the weight. The new safety harness (G-Force 2" 5 Point) arrives and I sit it aside ($40). Jaz doesn't have school on Friday so we go out and pick up the Kart Friday morning ($75). The trailer jack wheel has been breaking apart on me so last week I replaced the retaining pin but Friday it snapped off again so I just purchased a better one that was on sale at Bass Pro ($35) - Let the spending of money begin!
I remove the old belts and paint the weights on the Kart white (track rules). I wake up early on race day and install the new trailer jack wheel and install the new belts in the Kart and then it starts to rain. I check the forecast and it looks like it will rain all day. The track cancels racing for the day, we read the Sunday paper instead thinking we have another week to finish the Kart
