Yes, I waited till the last minute once again., before Joy left for work in the morning I had her help me pull the Kart out and I started going thru it. It does appear that the right front tire does indeed have a slow leak but shouldn't be a problem on race nights. Our sister-in-law's Father passed away and Joy left town to make the funeral. The girls and I are going racing ourselves for the first time. The track was pretty wet and there was lots of mud during the hot laps but Jaz liked the way the Kart was handling.
There must have been at least 5 Karts that wound up flipping or rolling and we even seen one lose a tire coming out of a corner - Not sure what that is like when your own tire passes you, but I'm pretty sure it isn't a good feeling. Some tense moments but it looked like everyone was able to walk away. Jamie was helping me belt Jaz in and burned her arm pretty good on the header pipe. Jaz was pretty pumped up for her feature race which quickly took a turn for the worse...
Coming out of the corner another Kart and Jaz got tangled up with the other Kart stuck in her side panel. The officials were trying to get them apart but were having to struggle and then we saw white body panels fly thru the air followed by Jaz's orange side panel. Jaz's motor was dead and it wasn't firing back up but then they got it fired and back out on the track she went. She had 2 other Karts behind her and she was able to hold them off but it looked like she was holding back a bit. When she came off the track she motioned for me and said she thought her belts had came off, sure enough the center strap was open and one of the belts had slipped out. She said she was holding back because she didn't want to get into another wreck.
Take Note - Please tell your kids that if they think something is wrong with either their Kart or their safety equipment that they should wave to get an officials attention and have it checked out! This is a lesson that I failed to let Jaz know and it is a very important rule to know. - Safety is always first!
In between races I ran out to the track and grabbed Jaz's side panel, I handed it to her and said this is the only trophy that your getting tonight, hold it up high and proud - Pint sized racer girl was not pleased... and I took a picture of her!

...but then she decided to share her trophy with our pit neighbor Ryan!

What would it be like if there wasn't something we had to repair!!!
Jaz moves from 33rd to 29th in the points
