Wow! Jaz started on the pole for the 1st heat race and never looked back. She had a great start and with no one in front of her she just drove her own line. Her first win of the year! Pint sized racer girl was very excited coming off the track.

The second heat race she started in the back but saw a hole and split the two Karts in front of her on the start to grab the 5th position. She caught Brianna in the #32 Kart that who was running 4th but she couldn't make the pass and finished 5th.

Jaz started 5th in the feature but there was a crash in turn 1 and her Kart was dead on the back stretch. Track officials were helping a Kart off the track that had a flat tire and I was able to restart Jaz's Kart with just 1 pull. They restarted in single file with Jaz in the 4th spot. She was running a solid 4th with some distance between her and the 5th spot when she lost it in the mud getting in turn 2, she was able to recover but lost several positions. She came around and lost it again in turn 2 losing even more positions but was able to keep going. She finished but complained that she hurt all over.

The Kart was covered in wet mud and her left side panel was severely cracked but somehow managed to stay on. Not a great finish but at least pint sized racer girl kept going to the end. After she had calmed down a bit we took a look and determined that her leg was hitting the steering wheel bolt - ouch!

I had walked by a Kart that had some pedal extenders and stopped and asked Jeff from Total Performance if he had some for sale. Those little buggers were a bit pricey ($70) but we had to do something. He also gave us a piece of roll bar pad to put around the bolt.
