I took out the old pedal extensions that we were using and installed the new over-the-pedal extensions. The old extensions weighed 9.5lbs so now we had to find some weight to add to the Kart. We moved the seat all the way up that we could and found a 10.5lb weight and mounted in on the floor pan. Jaz got in and her legs reached the pedals but when we put the steering wheel on it was hitting her safety harness right at the latch. We adjusted the belts so that the latch was lower but I was still concerned about how close she was to the steering wheel. We took the wheel over to Total Performance hoping perhaps they had a smaller one. No such luck but we did order one of those steering wheels with the notch cut-out on the top. Jaz took the Kart for a "test" thru the neighborhood and said she would be OK to race as it was.
Storms and rain and more rain. We figured no racing due to the wet conditions but the track announced by late afternoon that they would indeed be racing. We took a team vote and decided that it had to be just way to wet and to sit the night out.
