Our 1st night with new Kart! Last minute prep work once again, the decals did not get applied until around 4:00 by Joy as we were getting ready to head out. We did manage to get paper work signed and turned in along with a reserve pit stall earlier in the week. Hooked up trailer and checked lights and they were not working. Checked wiring and no voltage. Hooked everything back up and left for track. Before leaving track checked lights and everything was working! Sometimes you just don't ask.
Once we unloaded at the track we ran the Kart over the scale and weighed 350lbs, we rolled it back to the pits and removed the nose and the weights up front along with a weight mounted on the seat. We rolled back to the scale and came off at 320lbs. We have to weigh a min of 310lbs and I would like to get it down to 315lbs but we decide to play it safe and leave it at 320lbs.
Track was pretty wet as Jaz rolled out for hot laps. She was running the low line and sliding around a bit but really liked the way the Kart was running.
Heat 1 - Jaz started 9th and finished 9th.
Heat 2 - Jaz started 2nd. 4 laps to go and Jaz spun out in turn 2 and found herself a half lap down. Was able to re-catch the field but finished last.
Feature - Started 10th and got up to 6th then spun out in turn 2 and fell back to 10th for the finish
