We were running a bit heavy so I replaced the weight on the seat with a smaller weight. After Hot laps we ran across the scale at 319lbs! So I took the weight off and we ran across at 313lbs after the 1st heat race and 315lbs after the 2nd heat race and again 315lbs after the feature. Will leave the set-up with the only weight added to the right front.
Ed had us walk the track because they hauled in some dirt to fill it in. It was rather wet and Jaz & Jaelynn are out walking in the mud wearing their flip-flops! We thought the track looked rather nice but found out otherwise on hot laps. The track was very slick and Jaz was sliding all over the place, she complained about no steering at all. I removed the weight from the seat and left the tire pressures but that was just the beginning...
Heat 1 - Jaz started 5th but the track was VERY bumpy. It wasn't just Jaz it was everybody! At least we knew it wasn't the Kart but the track itself, Jaz lost a position and finished 6th. She said she was still having troubles so I dropped the tire pressures for the next Heat.
Heat 2 - Jaz started 2nd but took the lead for several laps! She was running strong but #80 came up behind her in a corner and did a bump and run on her! I thought as she was being turned that it was the end but she pulled it out and started chasing the #80 back for the lead. Racer girl did an awesome save! She came off the track second and was very, very sore as the track was very rough and just beating everyone up.
Feature - Jaz started 6th but got bumped back to 7th, she regained her 6th spot but just held it for the finish. No trophy for Racer girl tonight. We had a chance of rain moving in so we were moving thru the show quickly. The track was handing out trophies after each race and moving right along. We packed up and ran into a few sprinkles on the way home. The in-car camera was not "on" after the feature, when I loaded the video is was corrupt. Upon a closer look I discovered the batteries were dead. We will have new batteries for next week!
Track's website hasn't been updated this week so we are not sure where Jaz is in points.
