21 Karts showed up to race and there was 3 sets of heat racing and 2 features. Jaz ran hot laps and said, "Best track ever!". She came across the scale at 314lbs.
Heat 1 - Jaz started 4th, #97 lost rear tire and in kios that followed Jaz was back to fourth, she managed to get second at the white flag and finished there with a second place finish.
Heat 2 - Jaz started 4th again but there was a lot of beating and banging going on. Jaz finished last with her front end cracked and a chipped side panel. A kart had come down the track and went across Jaz's front bumper. It was bent really bad to the left side. With zip ties and "racing" tape we got it to hold for the feature.
Feature - Jaz started 5th and fell back to 7th. She got up to 6th and then spun in turn 4, almost saved Kart but hit the infield grass and got back on track in 9th and finished in 9th spot.
The front bumper is beyond repair and I'm leaving for RAGBRAI for a few days and won't be back till Monday night. Sent out a few Emails for a replacement bumper for our 1999 frame.
