Only ran rookie features before rain out last week. Jaz loved the way the Kart was set up so we are going thru the Kart but leaving the set-up the same. Uncle Rich called and said they would be out to the track tonight, Jaz loves having fans! Pulled spark plug out this afternoon, it looked fine but decided to replace with new one anyway.

Got to track unloaded with same set-up. Jaz ran hot laps and said everything was good. Kart weight 317lbs.

Since our Feature was rained out last week, that was our 1st race of the night. Jaz started 4th and fell back as far as 6th before climbing up to 3rd than 2nd and started chasing down Kale (35Jr), she made an awesome inside pass and was able to hold off Kale for the win! It was close and came down to the wire, very exciting. Check out the video on YouTube at:

Heat 1 - We were all pumped up about her first feature win but had to calm ourselves down and get ready for the nights racing. Jaz started 3rd and stayed behind the 97 & 35Jr, they both went up the track and Jaz made pass on the inside for 1st! She was able to hold them off and got another 1st place finish. Back to back wins, racer girl was on a roll.

Heat 2 - Jaz started 8th and worked her way up to 4th. She played it smart and just held her spot and finished 4th.

Feature - They were rushing to get races underway as a storm was coming. The feature race had all 19 karts and Jaz started 3rd. If she could just stay up front she would have a good points night. She fell back to 4th but managed to climb back to 3rd for the finish. Good racing by all. We packed up and headed back home with threatening skies the entire trip. Pulled in our driveway just as it opened up and poured rain.
