Low Density vs High Density memory modules

Information found at: http://reviews.ebay.com/Myth-Low-Density-vs-High-Density-memory-modules_W0QQugidZ10000000001236178

I did not know the answer to this because I have always bought my memory from Brand Name Suppliers and have always gone by standard ratings such as PC2700 etc.

All Branded-Name suppliers use Low Density modules which have 100% compatibility, this is why I never knew about High Density modules. This is what would happen; you find an incredible deal on memory and install it into your system but it only registers as half the amount. Believe it or not this is because you have High Density instead of Low Density modules. I know this sounds backwards but Low Density is faster and more compatible than High Density.

Due to unusability and high incompatibility of high density modules with standard PC, they are far cheaper, usually about half the price when compared with low density modules and a lot of buyers have fallen into attractive cheap price traps by High density module sellers and have complained that they will not run at all and sellers would not accept return!

When it comes to computer memory stay with NAME BRAND suppliers and make sure you can return it for a FULL return if it does not work in your system.
