If you have deleted this file, restoration is optional. However, without it,
some Java applets may not run correctly. This is not a critical system file.
To restore the file, follow the instructions in the Microsoft Knowledge Base
article Virus
Hoax: Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java (Jdbgmgr.exe) Is Not a Virus
(Q322993).

A while back there was a virus hoax that advised users to delete a valid Windows file named "Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java" (the file name was jdbgmgr.exe). The hoax was sent via e-mail and warned all Hotmail users about a virus that "is not detected by McAfee or Norton and stays quiet for 14 days before damaging your system." PC World reported on this virus hoax but not before many fell victim to it. If you were duped into deleting the file, there's no need to worry: simply download and install this latest release of the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (also known as Java Classes)--and don't take any more antivirus advice from your know-it-all uncle Lou.
