We're not sure how many beers it took, but Liz drew this Logo for the truck!

RAGBRAI 26 (1998)

Another year another RAGBRAI! This year started out HOT. Day one and two were hot, but from then on we had good cloud overcast and cool riding weather. Some of the great memories this year were: Sirens going off in Hawarden, The free ice cream in Le Mars, Taking a dip in the Twin Lakes, Rain and cool weather starting on the 3rd day, Great transportation in Cedar Falls (not to mention jumping in the river with a bar of soap), Lots of free stuff like; watermelon, ice-cream, key-chains & Miller T-shirts and headbands, that nice "little" hill coming out of Pilot Mound, The house from the "Twister" movie, the classic cars along the route like the '61 Vette or the Chevy "409" or the '70 Hemi RT charger or the Belvedere convertible - just to name a few, The wooden carousel, The one room schoolhouse, the fair in Monticello (I got talked into going on a ride - I swear I didn't know it went upside down) ......

I handed down a pair of gloves to my son Jake and told him we could get a newer pair on the route this year - nothing doing, he was confident they would make it through the week, you be the judge!

Being from Minnesota, my son Jake had to get a viking hat

I climbed a fire excape and took this shot of downtown Dike

Team "Bad boys" brought the kitchen sink this year, they even brought a canoe!

God sent Jesus to ride this year, we stopped to talk with him and he gave us every bar on the route this year - Our prayers were answered!
