Classic Bike Ride (9/4/2004)

What a great day! Wonderful weather, although the wind picked up later - not complaining, just worth mentioning. What a nice fun and flat ride. I haven't had a chance to ride my recumbent or try out my new Sportworks "Universal Bent Bike rack" so I was a little nervous as I set the bike on the new rack in literally seconds. It was so simple, I wasn't sure if it would hold as we took off for Panama on the Interstate but no problem. Once those hooks grip the tires the bike just does not move.

My wife dropped me off at Pauley's Pub in Panama shortly after 9am and the day begins...

Really, really nice riding weather, even if you had to pull a trailer.

You have to love those refreshing road breaks

First bar, oops I mean town. While taking a nice sidewalk break (Thanks Todd for the brat) we witnessed the misfortunes of the custom bike losing both its rear rims. I, of course, leaped into action and grabbed my camera and took a picture!

Second bar, oops I meant town again. Wonderful and shaded park with restrooms, great place for a quick nap!

It all ends in Neola at the Blue Moon
